Motrin is used for healing rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, menstrual cramps, or mild to moderate pain. Ibuprofen is an NSAID. NSAIDs treat the symptoms of discomfort and inflammation. They don't treat the disease which causes these symptoms.
