Nexium relieves heartburn and other symptoms resulting from the backflow of gastric acid into the duct towards the stomach (the esophagus)a condition known as gastro-esophageal reflux disease. It's also suggested to fix the damage (erosive esophagitis) that reflux disease can trigger.
Prescribed together with the antibiotics amoxicillin and clarithromycin, Nexium is also utilized in the treatment of the disease which causes most duodenal ulcers (ulcers occurring just beyond the leave from the tummy).

Simply take Nexium no less than one-hour before meals.

Voriconazole because it may increase the chance of Nexium's side effects
Anticoagulants (eg, warfarin), cilostazol, digoxin, or saquinavir since the risk of their side effects may be raised by Nexium.
Because their effectiveness can be lowered by Nexium azole antifungals (eg, nizoral), clopidogrel, HIV protease inhibitors (eg, atazanavir, nelfinavir), or metal.

Important safety tips:
Nexium may cause dizziness. This effect may be worse if you take it with alcohol or particular medicines. Use Nexium with caution. Don't drive or perform other possible dangerous tasks until you realize how you react to it.
Contact your physician in the event that you have any symptoms of a bleeding ulcer, like dark, tarry stools or vomit that looks like coffee grounds, or if you experience throat pain, chest pain, acute belly pain, or trouble swallowing.
